1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Lead Better Surf More.

Head of Privacy: Steve Gwenin

Contact: steve@leadbettersurfmore.com

If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, contact us using the details above.

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website or interact with us (including booking a call, downloading a resource, or contacting us), why we collect it, how it's used, and your rights over it.

By using this site, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or submit your information to us.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

a) Information you give us directly

- Name, email address, and any details you provide when booking a call, submitting a form, downloading a resource (such as the self-assessment), or emailing us directly.

b) Information collected automatically

- IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time spent on the site, and referral source — collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our [Cookie Policy] for detail).

c) Information from third-party platforms and tools

We use a number of third-party services to run this site, communicate with prospective clients, and understand how the site is used. Each of these may independently collect or process your data as follows:

Meta / Facebook (Pixel, ads) — Used for advertising, retargeting, and campaign measurement. May collect browsing behaviour on this site, device/browser data, and ad interaction data.

LinkedIn (Insight Tag, ads) — Used for advertising, retargeting, and campaign measurement. May collect browsing behaviour on this site and professional profile data if you interact with LinkedIn ads.

Google (Analytics, Ads) — Used for site analytics and advertising performance. May collect pages visited, session behaviour, device/browser data, and approximate location.

Calendly — Used for booking and managing your Fit Assessment call. Collects your name, email address, time zone, and any details you provide when scheduling.

WhatsApp (Meta) — Used for direct messaging support, if you choose to contact us this way. May collect your phone number, message content, and any data WhatsApp/Meta collects as part of its own service.

Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy, and by interacting with the relevant tool (e.g. clicking an ad, booking via Calendly, messaging us on WhatsApp) you are also subject to that provider's own data practices. We encourage you to review their policies:

- Meta/Facebook: facebook.com/privacy/policy

- LinkedIn: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

- Google: policies.google.com/privacy

- Calendly: calendly.com/privacy

- WhatsApp: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

- Respond to enquiries and schedule Fit Assessment calls

- Provide, operate, and improve this website

- Send you information you've requested (such as the self-assessment resource)

- Measure and improve the performance of our advertising (via Meta, LinkedIn, and Google)

- Communicate with you about the CORE program, if you've expressed interest or become a client

- Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (UK/EU GDPR)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

- Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing communications

- Legitimate interest — for site analytics, advertising performance measurement, and responding to enquiries

- Contract — where processing is necessary to deliver a service you've requested, such as scheduling a call or delivering the program

- Legal obligation — where we're required to retain or disclose data by law

You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing (see Section 8).

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Enquiry and call-booking data is typically retained for [insert retention period, e.g. 24 months] unless you become a client, in which case it's retained in line with our client records and contractual obligations.

7. Sharing Your Information

We share data with:

- The third-party platforms listed in Section 3, as necessary for them to perform their function (advertising, analytics, scheduling, messaging)

- Service providers who support our operations (e.g. email, hosting), under confidentiality obligations

- Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law

We do not share your data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- Access the personal data we hold about you

- Correct inaccurate data

- Request deletion of your data

- Object to or restrict certain processing

- Withdraw consent at any time

- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk)

To exercise any of these rights, contact Steve Gwenin at steve@leadbettersurfmore.com.

9. Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies, including those set by Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and Calendly. For full detail on what cookies are used, their purpose, and how to manage your preferences, see our [Cookie Policy].

10. International Data Transfers

Some of the third-party providers listed above (including Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and WhatsApp) may process data outside the UK/EEA, including in the United States. Where this occurs, these providers generally rely on recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent frameworks to protect your data.

11. Children's Privacy

This site and the CORE program are intended for business leaders and are not directed at, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
